The People Behind the Legacy

K. M. Abdulla

For K. M. Abdulla, business leadership has always extended beyond the balance sheet. As a second-generation iron and steel merchant, he represents the continuity of a family enterprise that has navigated changing markets, evolving customer expectations and the transformation of India's industrial landscape. Over nearly 35 years of leadership, Abdulla has helped sustain B.H. Mammi's standing in the industry while reinforcing the relationships and service culture on which the business was founded. His influence extends into Kerala's wider business community. A former President of the Kerala Steel Traders Association, Abdulla has also served twice as Chairman of the Kerala Chamber of Commerce and Industry, alongside other senior responsibilities within the organisation, including Vice-Chairman and Director of Finance. His civic and advisory engagements have included the VAT Executive Committee, JNNURM Technical Advisory Group of the Corporation of Cochin, District Level Technical Advisory Group and the Cochin City Disaster Management Quick Response Team. Together, these roles reflect a career shaped not only by enterprise, but by active participation in the economic and institutional development of the region. At B.H. Mammi, his leadership philosophy remains rooted in a defining principle: the strength of a business lies in the trust it earns and the relationships it sustains.
